I forgot to tell you, that the rebate from the last cruise 2010 went to the restoration of the Ermita Chapel project. This years rebate, if we have enough cabins sold, maybe will give to the Medical Mission sponsored by Chicago Midwest Chapter or whatever project we'll agreed upon. The only thing is we will not get the rebate until we return home.

So, I am calling all Paetenian Presidents to help promote this cruise to your constituents. If you have 8 cabin sold from your chapter your chapter will have a rebate. It's a good fund raising to your Chapter too. One cabin occupies 2 person, there can 3rd or 4th guest in one room for reduced price. This is ideal for a family of 4 or 4 singles of same gender.

..I think "PI-Fundraising Cruise" is a more appropriate name for this
event.....

You please yourself to call it what you want. I will call it a Summit when guests cruisers will come from different part of the world.

Summit is ok, but it's no "PI-Summit'

Dear guest, kung ikaw ay nasa meeting doon sa picnic, which, I guess you were. You would know that I presented it. So you don't need to ask kung alin talaga. P. Aseoche who took the minutes of the meeting may have it recorded. if she did not, it's not a big deal. There were no discussions(pros and cons) but there were Q & A as to where, when and how much. Walang nag contest kaya tuloy ang sailing.

Ang sabi ko pag-maraming sasama ay Summit, pag kokonti ay cruise. Kaya Sanction or not tuloy ang sailing. Fely is dreaming of this cruise for a long long time. That's why I said it can be both. Ultimo yung President elect ay walang comments at walang nag-disagree. So what is the big deal on Summit or Cruise? Hindi natin malalaman kung maraming sasama, kaya sumama kana kasi para maging summit. If you have more question if it is "Summit or Cruise" , I don't have anymore answer. Thank you.

That's Ms Fely Baldemor who, I understand, was present at the New Jersey Summit. So, ano ba talaga, Ate?

dear guest, at the summit in New Jersey, we had that meeting to elect the new PI president. Before we wrapped up I presented the most rumored summit cruise. Nobody contested and as a matter of fact one individual ask me to announce to the picnickers before they go home. Mrs Fely Balsemor volunteered to announce it and she did it just that. Your question of is it A summit or just a cruise?. My answer was Both. Summit if lots Paetenians and cruisers booked for the cruise so we can have meeting on board to talk about issues and problem in Paete and how we can help. If all 16 cabins will be occupied we will have rebate to donate to the project(whatever it) so I'll call it a summit. I did not hear of any Summit next year except I know there will be a Medical mission in Paete next year also in May. That is not a Summit. Maybe we will donate the rebate to the Medical Mission. If we did not have 8 cabins occupied then there is no rebate, so that is just a cruise. that is my answer to the question "summit or just a cruise" Now the question of is it agreed upon or hatched as you called it, since there is no contest when I presented it and when they told me to announce it before everybody leave the picnic I assumed that it is agreed upon. Did I answer all the question? Summit if you and Paetenian join the cruise, Cruise if only you and I go. No fun.

After the 2010 Alaska Cruise, the participants thought of another destination in the future, one of the suggestions, were the Baltic Sea. This cruise is not a PI-sanctioned event. It was not presented to the PI Chapters and was not mentioned during the election of the new PI President. Anyone in our organization can join. You can invite your best friends, neighbors, etc. We look forward to having fun just like the Alaska Cruise.

I actually made the Baltic Sea Cruise announcement during the picnic and not in a meeting. To visit the Baltic Sea in July, the weather is warmer and we will have the chance to see the midnight sun. I was not aware of this until it was mentioned to me the difference between cruising in May or July.
Please book your cruise with Luis (877)-700-8687, Peninsula Travel. The PI International Umbrella received a very good incentive during the Alaska Cruise.

Yes and No, cruise is official in 2015. Date and month is questionable for some. But it is negotiable. Traditionally we do our Summit in July, to celebrate our town fiesta. I also think that, July is appropriate for families with kids in school in case they want to bring their kids for holidays. However, the month of July is the peak season and it is too pricey. Some have suggested the month of May. So I am calling the presidents of each chapter to get some consensus within their group and vote which month they prefer. May or July? Those who are interested may suggest their preferences.

we just had the NY summit last month where delegates/officers of the different PI chapters met and a new PI umbrella president was elected.... this "summit-cruise" announced here, was this hatched or agreed upon in consultation with the various PI chapters, not to mention the newly elected PI president, during the meeting? is this really official or a PI-sanctioned event?
