Mary Grace;

It is good to hear from you and see you post in this forum.

What Vice mayor Mutuk and the SB have done is truly commendable. This is very encouraging and rest assured that I will continue to support these efforts.

grace, chem and rochelle - welcome dito sa paete.org.

cheers,
mam amor

Hi Ar-jhay 37,

I am glad you did the initiative in asking for help. It is the main reason why we are encouraging you, students, to become a member of this forum. We are here to help all of you for whatever possible problems you might encounter on your studies.. So, pls do not hesitate in asking questions.

Just an encouragement! Yung sagot sa kahilingan ay hindi ko po alam hehehe. Pero siguradong marami naman pong iba ang sasagot nito. Di po baga? <lol>

Hanggang sa muli,

Vice-Mutuk: I have the feeling that we have bumped serendipitously into the solution to the problem of a school library. It might sound over enthusiastic and premature, but with computers who needs a library? With the computer, you have virtually an access to countless books no physical library can match. Are we not already experiencing and living a bookless library?

One of the early projects of the Paetenians in the early days was to send Encyclopedias, books and dictionaries. I don't remember now how many sets of Encyclopedias, how many dictionaries and how many books we have sent. Books were more difficult to send because the price of sending was prohibitive.

During one of my Balikbayan trips, I visited PES and I was shown the library. The library was impressive, clean and very tidy. But, I muttered to myself: Great! the Encyclopedias were locked in some closed shelves with keys, collecting dust and were not being used. That was then!

The computer has already revolutionized education, and the means of bringing it to the children will be very different from what we know. I see in my crystal ball a bookless, penless and paperless schools. We might eventually even come to a school-less education. LOL! I mean, no physical buildings!

With no expensive buildings and libraries and other facilities to maintain, and with information within reach by a few clicks, I think our children will have a fighting chance and a brighter future than during your time! Wink

Hey, Vice-Mutuk, keep encouraging those kids. I think you are not only letting them learn but also keeping them out of trouble! We might even divert donations from PACTAF to better education. LOL! You are helping the kids, you are helping the parents, you are helping the Town. I think there is a word for that: Progress!

dear ar-jhay,

sige, don't fail to see me at lucban during our reg'l presscon. mabuti 'yong magkaharap tayo para malaman ko kung ano ang procedure ninyo sa pagpe-prepare ninyo ng sports page, from there, i can give some suggestions for improvement. magdala ka rin ng copy ng inyong school paper for my critiquing. alam ko maayos na ang paper ninyo, pero baka may maisa-suggest pa ako.

okay, see you then.

regards to your folks.
