The Paetenians Chicago Midwest July 23^rd festivity was a real great event. The event was this year’s edition of the Paete fiesta celebration that this group celebrates every year.

The event kicked off with a prayer led by Joe Torres who said that the event was really a success because the Paetenians are always a group with one sprit and motivated by unity. "Ang mga taga-Paete ay parang isang pamilya. Kinikilala nila ang bawa’t isa. Sana’y manatiling ganito."

Indeed, the group of Paetenians will stay like a big family and everybody can feel it to the adult and children games that were shared that seemed like never ending was so inspiring for it soothes their nostalgic feelings.

Lynn Adao. Masaya, enjoy.

Pam Framic.. Ok lang, nag-enjoy ako.

Vangie Ortiz.. Nice picnic, good food and windy.

Roy Regalado.. Weather is nice this year.

Christina Madridejos Perez.. It makes me feel really very old seeing the young children running around. It is cool to see family together.

One of the guests, Ramona Santos San Juan, noticed the closeness of the Paetenians. Said she ..Maganda itong organisasyong ito, parang magkakamag-anak, very friendly, Ganyan talaga sa Pilipinas, inaasikaso ang bawat isa.

The gathering to some is the way of commemorating to give life to the past and to the memories that these Paetenians left behind in that small town of Paete, Laguna. Mang Silver Villamater has been a member of the Paetenians Chicago/Midwest for so many years and he is enlightened with what he saw in this event. "Excellent, malakas ang pagdami ng tao. Masasaya ang mga batang nakikita ko."
